Long Live the Trombone!
Apparently either Strauss or Wagner once said, “Never look at the trombones, it only encourages them," so that's exactly what I did today. 
I've been having fun with my cousins Sam and Liz all week and am sad that they're leaving tomorrow and taking that big, shiny, brassy toy home with them. I'm a pretty good singer and that thing was even louder than me! 
Of course, in the hands of a master like Sam, it can also be a tool for a gentle lullaby. I wonder if I'm the only baby ever to be put to sleep by a trombone? 
Now I just need to sweet talk Mom into learning how to play one for me...
