My Baby Sister is Here!!!

My baby sister Polly was born on Monday while I was still sleeping. FINALLY! Mommy and Daddy have been talking about her for MONTHS! I got to go to the hospital with Grandma Debbie and HOLD her and KISS her

and touch her little tiny feet. I was VERY proud (if a little bit mischievous).When we got home yesterday I even got to open presents! Baby sister Polly gave me an American Girl baby I named Cora and Grandma Debbie gave me an antique doll bed for Cora that used to belong to my Great Grandma Polly.

Daddy had to tear me away this morning to go to school so it was a good thing I got to show off my new "Big Sister" T-shirt and pictures of baby Polly. Everyone was very excited for us and I didn't even tell you about Daddy's birthday yesterday and the cupcakes I made or 'Present' Obama on the TV! WOW! What a week it's been already!

Getting Ready for Baby - Hat Edition

We've been getting ready for baby sister around here and getting out all of her baby clothes, which are very cute. It turns out that baby hats are particularly cute, and very popular presents. We have gotten lots of hand-me-downs, which is great and very useful. However, we may have hit the limit on baby hats. I think I'll be keeping this in mind next time I give a baby gift...

Having my cousin Rosemary here for the holidays has been great! We have had plenty of time to fly around, hang out, flip out, and here we are sliding into the new year!
