Uncle Corey Stops By

Uncle Corey dropped in yesterday for a quick visit on his way back from the Santa Cruz Film Festival where his shadow puppets were featured in one of the films (check them out here). Here we are fresh after my morning nap goofing around and having some fun. What do you think of my bedhead?

Playgroup

This week I dropped in on Maisy and Dylan's playgroup. They both have older siblings, so had a grand time watching the other 10 big kids run around. I found it interesting but a little disturbing. Here Maisy's making another play for my binkie while simultaneously hogging the camera spotlight. Hmmm, nice move.

My Baby Float

One of my favorite activities on Siesta Key was swimmin' in the pool. With my float I could kick around in circles like I was Exersaucing, scoot around the pool with my own two feet, and join in the fun with my big cousins.

Fun w/ Cousins Courtie and Lily

The best part about the beach in Florida was hangin' out with all my cousins, especially Courtie and Lily. They literally supported me, introduced me to yummy pool torpedoes, and made sandcastles with Maddox and me on the beach.
They were REALLY fun!

Back from the FL Beach

My editors sent me down to Sarasota, FL for the past week to report on the white sand beaches of Siesta Key (that's me in the orange cover-up),the timeless elegance of Siesta Royale apartments, the warm and gentle surf in the Gulf of Mexico, and the fresh local cuisine. Here Dad and I are watching a beautiful sunset and bringing our Oakland pride to the East Coast...

A's 5, Yankees 4!

Mom and Dad went to their second A's home game of the season last night. After a ticket-bitingly tight game through extra innings, rookie Travis Buck scored the winning run in the bottom of the 11th to beat the Yankees. Hooray! Let's Go Oakland!

p.s. I'll be on assignment for the next week, and will report back when I return.

Happy Belated Easter

I just got these pictures from Easter Sunday at Molly, Suzanna, Jack and Maisy's house. I had to look for my hidden Easter basket but then I was rewarded with Cheerios in an Easter egg and a delicious basket filled with grass. I spent the rest of the day looking for more treats - you never know where they might be hidden!

My Stats = 25/25/90

At my doctors appointment last week, I was 25" tall, and weighed just about 15lbs, which puts me around 25th %ile for height and weight. However, my head size is still hovering around the 90th %ile. So, since then, in order to grow into my head, I have been eating everything in sight, including sweet potatoes, apples, Cheerios, and even taking this bottle thing into my own hands. But just for good measure, I am trying to squish my head down as well.

Sunday Afternoons

Often on Sundays we'll hang out in bed as a family, snuggling with Dad while he does the crossword puzzle. I like to snuggle with Oliver too, but for some reason that often causes him to jump off the bed.

Merci beaucoup, Lea!

Earlier this week, I got a fun and unexpected gift in the mail from my friend Lea in France. She sent me a 3-CD compilation of traditional French folk songs and games (thankfully Ashley and David were here to translate for me). This is great (!) as ever since Christmas my ridealong partner in the car has been my French doll from my great aunt Sara which I've nicknamed Lea. Now we can sing in French together everytime we go somewhere! Thanks Lea, je l'aime!

This just in: Lea welcomed a little sister two days ago: Farah Bordier, born 53cm and 4.73kg. Welcome lil' Farah!

Happy Pesach!

(That's Happy Passover to you Goyim.)
Tonight I went down to Menlo Park for seder at my cousins Rachel and Ted's house. We spilled a drop of wine for each of the ten plagues (while I chewed on Plague #4: a wild beast), sang (to the tune of Louie, Louie) "Pharoah, Pharoah, whoa baby, Let my people go!", ate delicious food, and generally had a great time, maracas and all. Thanks Rachel, Ted, Sam, Ethan, and Joanna for introducing me to passover, I'm gonna start studying now so I can answer all those questions next year!
