Yucky Shots
I've been a bit "under the weather" the last 24 hours thanks to all my vaccinations in both hips for diptheria, tetanus, whooping cough, polio, Hep B, strep, and haemophilus influenzae yesterday. That's a mouthful, no wonder I've been a bit cranky.
Thank goodness for Infant Tylenol and this cozy new blanket handmade by Sylvia Zorowitz. Thanks Sylvia!

To the Mountains!
I'm off to the Sierra Nevada mountains today for 48 hours with Catherine, Chris, Frannie and Sadie. I'm hoping Mom and Dad take me on a hike around Pinecrest lake (above) so I have some fun adventures to report on Sunday.

Little Farm at Tilden
Today I went to see the cows, goats, chickens, and rabbits at the Tilden Park farm with Violet. The animals were pretty hungry, but fortunately Violet's dad Justin had celery in his back pocket.
My mom and I were a bit nervous,
but Violet showed us just how fun it can be!

Uncle Corey & Cousin Rosemary
so my uncle Corey and my cousin Rosemary came down from Arcata for the occasion.
Rosemary and her mom Grace even made me a birthday carrot cake
so I showed her my special quilt, made from some of the same fabrics as hers!

Market Day
There's so much to see, eat, and do at the farmer's market.
I'm looking forward to the day I can jump in the bouncing castles and go in the fountain like my older friend Bahia.

Aunt Julie Comes to Visit
My Aunt Julie arrived last night (with a suitcase full of hand-me-downs!) for a weekend visit.
She made us banana bread and dinner, made the wheels on my bus go 'round and 'round, took me for a walk, and laughed at my premature receding hairline. And it hasnt' even been 24 hours!
I wonder what we'll do tomorrow?!

Xmas is coming...
OK, so it's not even Thanksgiving yet but I DID see Santa at the store over the weekend and THEN the mail brought me my very own handknit Christmas stocking today!
Of course, I'm the little angel to my Mom's Rudolph and my Dad's Santa:

More Cool Gifts!
Three more friends sent cool gifts recently including a handknit wool hat from Claire (and Rob, expecting their own twins any day!) and a handknit blanket from Sally (and Chris) - both are especially great now that it's getting cooler - and
my flying parrot Polly, hanging from my bedroom ceiling and brought all the way from Prague! Thanks Meg and Waugh, I can ALMOST reach it.

The Finger's Replacement?: My Binkie
The weather has finally started to show signs of winter so last night we had our first fire of the season. Mesmerizing.
Even more exciting has been my reintroduction to the "binkie." Before, it tasted too artificial and I'd just spit it out. But NOW, wow. This thing is great.
No Mom or Dad twisting their finger as they reach for the remote, no pulling the finger out when the phone rings, no need to sleep ON the person attached to the finger, I can even suck away while driving the Moby Wrap.

Product Review: My Gymini
Aarrrr, I army-crawl through the jungle, keeping my head low to avoid the dangerous purple elephants, pink-beaked toucans, and multi-colored giraffes' feet.
Moving just an inch forward can be a morning's struggle. Plus, all those push ups.
They really tire me out.
